I tried to find a blank spot to recreate the image but I didn't have a lamp to I couldn't create my own shadows. f/5.3 shutter 1/100 ISO 200
f/5.3 shutter 1/100 ISO 200
I tried using natural lighting. this was the only space I could find in the house, it would have been better to have more room and a simpler space to shoot on. f/10 shutter 1/200 ISO 200

I used flash in these images which made the shadow very light. f/10 shutter 1/200 ISO 100

I tried again without flash and it made the shadows alot darker and closer to Ottons work. f/10 shutter 1/200 ISO 200
I tried using a matt so the shadow was easier too see. f/10 shutter 1/200 ISO 100
I tried placing the cups so that the handels looked like arrows pointing to the shadow on the bench made by the door. f/10 shutter 1/200 ISO 100

I tried converting to gray scale and increasing the contrast, blacks and clarity and decreasing the highlights.
