Research Mario Testino - Colour - Camera Use

There is a lot of cool colors in this image. so the yellow in the woman's dress really pops because it is a warm colour against all the cool blue tones in this image.

Mario Testino

Mario was born in Lima in 1954. He is Spanish and Italian descent. When he was a kid he wanted to be a priest and went on to study economics. He went to London in 1976 to study photography. he worked as a waiter to fund himself and dyed his hair pink. He was inspired by Cecil Beaton. His photography work was in Vogue for the first time in 1983.

Thoughts: The two main colours in this image are primary colours Red and Yellow, it has little doses of complementary colours like purple in the cushions and green on the tables.
Thoughts: The main colours in this photo is the blue and yellow in the wall paper and the red on the shirt. The yellow and blue are complementary colours and the red stands out against them.
Thoughts: The Cyan in her face and background and Red on her lips in the photo are contrasting colours. The colours on the face really bring out the focus on her eyes and lips. The colours are on oposite sides of the colour wheel.
Thoughts: The blue and red in her out fit, sky and floor are primary colours. Rend is a warm colour and blue is a cool colour this makes a lot of contrast in the image.
Thoughts: The magenta and orange are complementary colours as they are both warm colours on the same side of the colour wheel, it really makes her face pop.
Thoughts: Red and blue are contrasting colours on the opposite sides on the colour wheel.
Thoughts: Having a plain primary colour in the background really makes this image pop with the blue in his eyes.
