Fiona Pardington
Fiona was born in Auckland and is of Maori and Scottish descent. She has a Doctorate in Fine Arts from the University of Auckland. She has worked as a lecturer, tutor, assessor and moderator on a lot of photography, design and fine arts programmes at New Zealand universities and polytechnics.

She was also named a Knight by the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls on may the 1st 2016. Fiona is the fist visual artist from New Zealand to receive this honor.
A lot of her photographs are still life with dark themes.
