What is Camera Raw

Camera Raw is used to process raw files. Raw files need to be edited in Camera Raw because they often come out looking flat as they are not processed in the camera like JPGs are.

Benefits of Camera Raw

In Camera Raw you can adjust and edit your pictures white balance, contrast, exposure, colour saturation, sharpening, noise reduction and removing imperfections and more. The interface is not cluttered like Photoshop but still has all the essential editing tools. It is also non destructive editing and keeps the detail of the original image so that you can edit it in more detail later without loosing quality, everything you do in Camera Raw wont effect the original image and it remains undamaged. You can also edit multiple images at once
